"We write in response to what we read and learn; and in the end we write out of our deepest selves." ~ Andrea Barrett

Writing It Randomly was my first creation, but there are also two other blogs on which I speak my mind and share inspiration:

Self Improvement

The collaborative blog started with my cousin stems from one of our lazy, conversational Sunday afternoons.
I cannot say that I'm a big fan (or any fan at all) of Self Improvement per se, but I recognise the fact that our earthly existence requires personal growth in order to maintain or reach a joyful plain of contentment. Life is too short and too precious to spend it in a constant state of misery, and we thought that - if we write it out together - we could reach enlightenment faster.

In my country, there are eleven official languages - Afrikaans, English, Ndebele, Northern Sotho, Sotho, Swazi, Tsonga, Tswana, Venda, Xhosa, and Zulu. Naturally, English is not the only language I am proficient in, but I'm ashamed to admit that I only speak two of them.
My family is bilingual, so although I love English, I also have a deep fondness for Afrikaans. In 2014 I found that sometimes there are certain feelings and topics I express better in Afrikaans, so I created my second blog as a platform for this purpose.

Happy reading! (Let me know what you think.)

Before my second attempt I changed tactics. I did some online research before firing up the mixer and it totally paid off! No cracks, an even colour all around and a way creamier texture.
